A litre bike (often spelled liter bike in North America) refers to a high-performance motorcycle with an engine displacement of approximately 1,000 cc (one litre).
Because of their immense power, advanced engineering, and top-tier components, liter bikes sit at the pinnacle of mainstream production motorcycle performance. They are typically divided into two main categories: Superbikes (fully faired track-focused machines) and Hyper-Naked bikes (upright streetfighters).
1.BMW M 1000 RR
The BMW M 1000 RR is BMW Motorrad’s ultimate, race-homologated track superbike. It takes the high-performance foundation of the S 1000 RR and pushes it to the absolute limit with motorsport engineering.
2.Kawasaki Ninja H2R
- The Kawasaki Ninja H2R is an engineering marvel and arguably the most extreme, ferocious production motorcycle ever built. Unlike standard superbikes, the H2R is a closed-course, track-only machine that is not street-legal. It serves as a showcase of Kawasaki’s heavy industries capability, combining aerospace-grade engineering with mind-bending power.
3.Ducati Streetfighter V4
The Ducati Streetfighter V4 is essentially a Panigale V4 superbike stripped of its full fairings and fitted with high, wide handlebars—often described by Ducati as a “Fight Formula” motorcycle (Panigale V4 + high handlebars + no fairings + optimized geometry).
4.KTM 1390 Super Duke R
The KTM 1390 Super Duke R—affectionately and fittingly nicknamed “The Beast”—is the absolute flagship naked motorcycle from the Austrian manufacturer. Pushing the envelope beyond its predecessor (the 1290 Super Duke R), the 1390 is built to deliver brutal V-twin performance, razor-sharp handling, and aggressive styling.
